About CargoNet – environment-friendly freight transport by rail

Our shuttle trains carry trailers, swap bodies and containers from 20 to 45 feet as well as tanks. CargoNet carries freight for industry and commerce in an efficient shuttle net of intermodal terminals in Norway and to/from the Continental Europe.

Our core business is intermodal rail-based transport. Our vision is: “The world becomes a bit better when the cargo is on track”.

CargoNet also offers “System trains”. This product is based on industrial cooperation on closed transport systems and involves assigning dedicated resources (engine, wagons and staff) to specific customer, and tends to be used by large industrial concerns.

In all, we operate a shuttle net of 14 intermodal terminals in Norway and between Norway and Sweden. Reliable access to strategic intermodal terminals in Europe is taking care of through our cooperation with Real Rail in Sweden, Hupac in Switzerland and KombiVerkehr in Germany.
