CargoNet with a new shuttle train between Kristiansand and Stavanger
A new train for transport of containers and semi-trailers between Kristiansand and Stavanger, Ganddal starts on Tuesday 17 April. The train will preliminary run two days a week.
This will relieve the roads for truck traffic, and thus provide an important environmental contribution to the region. At the same time this will improve transportation services for businesses in the area.
We are pleased to meet the needs for increased transport capacity between Kristiansand - Stavanger. In addition to the daily shuttle trains to / from Oslo, these two cities also have good port connections with the rest of Europe.
The first train starts from Stavanger (Ganddal) Tuesday 17 April with load limit at 5:30 and will be back on Ganddal the same afternoon with unloading starting at 16:30.
