Domestic trains in Sweden – transport network until the end of the first quarter of 2012

Until the end of the first quarter of 2012, CargoNet will have a transport service between Skåne and Norrland and Gothenburg and Norrland.

It was planned to phase out the entire Swedish domestic network from the middle of December 2011, but will now be retained to a limited extent until the end of the first quarter of 2012. CargoNet has an agreement with Green Cargo regarding future running of the following intermodal trains:

Gothenburg – Umeå/Luleå: 1 departure per day in both directions. Departure days Monday to Friday. Commences Monday December 12^th.

Trelleborg/Malmö – Nässjö - Umeå/Luleå: 1 departure per day in both directions. Departure days Monday to Friday. Commences Thursday December 15^th.

During the weekend preceding Monday December 12th, we were in touch with customers who have had partner reservations with us, and we are continuing the dialogue with our major customers regarding goods to/from Umeå and Luleå.

CargoNet is currently in dialogue with interested parties regarding potential solutions following the first quarter of 2012.
